Again with Maxwell
I let them render all the night, so 9h for each of them (I could get the same result in some hours if I would make the render 3x bigger and scale in photoshop)

I wanted to try rendering something more moody. I don't know really, what do you think?

Rendered without focal depth. Is there a good guide for using focal depth? I don?t like the reuslt and cant enhance through simple tweaking...

I simply tried to use a standard target camera with every aspects. I dont post the ncie clean results here, more the interesting stuff...

ok ok, thats just very blurred

I guess, thats more interesting...

That was something... strange. The rendering was made without pass blending and ended in this results.

Hi! I'm new here in the forum! Just like to say hello first.
I'd like to ask ridestowe about his furry teapot. Is that a real tricky stuff to do? What software did you use?
Thanks in advance!

here are 3 renders done with vray, i just got to know it yesterday (Poilu means hairy) (you can click one the first 2 pics for a bigger version)
-
tork 9 posts
Nice mr_killer! The "poilu?" is very nice! Looks really furry!
How did you do that one? Was the render time big?
The grass square looks really good!
I did some experimentals but wasn't happy with any of them. I was trying to make a hairy ball, but all of them seemed unnatural. Can anyone point me some websites with information on how to make fur and hair and grass, these kind of stuff?
-
Richard 1,943 posts
well the renderring time of the poilu one took 2h 30 thats because i use it as a backgroung and i rendered it with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 lol
the poilu and the grass one were both created using vrayfur, its not hard relly, just play around with the setting untill your happy with the result you go... i'll post a new one saying vach with a cow texture> white with black dots (vache is cow in english)
if you don't have vray fur, you can create hairs with pf source. i found on the net a tutorial about it.. i'll check if i can find it again for you...
if you go on my website, in the 2005 3d gallery the is a hairy ball, tell me if thats what your trying to do... also, have you got msn or somthing like that?
did you do anything in 3d yet? i didn't see any of your work, i'd be intersted

btw, you can get a free tryout of vray at
http://www.chaosgroup.com or
http://www.vray.info or
http://www.vrayrender.com

Hey mr. killer, thanks for answering me! Sorry I didn't replyed you eariler.
So, 2h30! That's a lot of time ! My pc would blow up!

Hehehe
I saw the hairy ball in your website, it's the same tutorial I got! I did that image too, looks pretty much the same. I change the configuration a little bit to try a more furry look, something like a cute character but for now only the ball (really can't do the rest) It looks a bit artificial and the problem is that Max is getting slower. I would post a render but Max kept crashing and I gave up. (got to get a new pc

)
I started doing 3D on 2004, I did one Max basic course and have been studying basicly on the Internet until then. There are two links for images I made.
The first one is one of Jack Jack toys from the short movie "Jack Jack Attack" (The Incredibles). The texture is there just to have something because it doesn't look good at all.
The second image is a calculator I have here in my desk. It's not finished, there are some buttons missing.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v346/ ... ulator.jpg
That's about it, I did a few animations but none to be shown.
PS: I got your msn, my nick is Tork.
